1st Case

1st Case is a thriller about Angela Hoot, a gifted computer programmer whose government career starts with a setback. Her unorthodox programming methods get her expelled from MIT's graduate school, and she lands in the FBI's cyber-forensics unit instead.

There she faces a strange case. A messaging app with sophisticated tracking capabilities has appeared, and its beta users are all young women. They are identified only when they turn up dead in their bedrooms. Angela races to crack the killer's digital code, and the contest between her skills and the killer's grows more personal. She has to keep the killer out of her private life, or she risks losing her life to the underbelly of the Internet.
