A bite to remember

Private investigator Jackie Morrisey has a firm personal policy: no relationships with anyone who can't be around in daylight. She has been hurt before, so she is determined to keep her distance from Vincent Argeneau, a vampire whose life is in danger from a killer intent on turning him to dust.

Vincent has spent four centuries refining his charm, and he is not shy about wandering the house shirtless, which makes Jackie's resolve harder to keep. Beneath the good looks, he is warm and protective, and Jackie must stay on her guard or risk breaking the rules she has set for herself.

The novel is the first book in Lynsay Sands' Argeneau series, a paranormal romance that pairs a hunt for a murderer with a slow-building attraction between an investigator and a centuries-old vampire.
