A+ certification for dummies

Employers value computer technicians who can show they have the skills, and the A+ exams are designed to test exactly that, for people who have roughly six months of hands-on work behind them. Because the credential never expires, it stays valuable over a long career, which makes it a strong starting point for anyone aiming at a well-paid future in tech support or IT.

This guide walks through the material you need for both exams, from computer hardware to operating systems. The explanations avoid technical jargon and are written in a lively, approachable voice. This second edition has been rebuilt to match CompTIA's newer exam objectives and to prepare you for the adaptive testing format.

A CD-ROM is included with hundreds of practice questions and a customizable test engine, so you can rehearse under realistic conditions before sitting the real exam. The book covers Exam 220-201 and Exam 220-202.
