Accidentally Ours
About This Book
Sophie has just finished college and is about to begin a much-sought-after internship with a top event planner in New York City. Before leaving Las Vegas, she plans one night of indulgence with a man she will never see again, sharing only first names. The next time she meets him, she learns he is the boss of her brother and the brother of one of the firm's new clients, and the spark between them has not faded. Sophie wants to concentrate on her career and her new city, not on romance. Hunter Cartwright is thirteen years older than Sophie, her brother's employer, and known for avoiding commitment, so she has every reason to keep her distance. Still, she agrees to his offer of a casual, no-commitment arrangement in which he shows her the sights of the city and his bedroom as well. The deal seems simple until a pregnancy test turns positive. The story alternates between Sophie and Hunter, CEO of Premier Real Estate. Hunter has built his life around his work and has kept his relationships brief, since he has never been able to give a partner the time and attention she wanted. He first noticed Sophie on a Las Vegas dance floor and assumed it would be a single night, but now that she lives in his city he cannot stop thinking about her. He expects to walk away once the attraction runs its course, as he usually does. As they spend more time together, however, that departure becomes harder to picture, and when they realize their arrangement will tie them together for life, Hunter sets out to prove he can be a committed partner.
