Moonbeam Swiftcloud Nakai, known as Beam, won a scholarship to study in England, where she met Neo, a fellow student from Greece. They fell in love, married, and were eventually pulled apart. Years later, the past is hers to face again. Beam returns to Greece when her beloved niece runs into the same person who once broke her heart, and she is determined to put things right. That means dealing with her former husband. Beam marches back into Neo's life and insists that he leave her niece alone. Neo has spent years trying, and failing, to forget the only woman he ever loved, so seeing her again leaves him both thrilled and uneasy. Her earlier betrayal cost him far more than his heart, and he is not certain he could survive being hurt that way a second time. Fate seems to have thrown the two of them back together for a reason. The question is whether they can rebuild what was broken or whether they are doomed to repeat the mistakes that tore them apart.
