Adhkhila Phool

This novel offers a vivid portrait of Punjab, its culture and the everyday lives of its people. The book came about almost by accident rather than by design.

The author had climbed into the mountains to visit a saint who lived in a simple hut. There the old Baba began to share his own sorrowful story. The author was drawn so deeply into the telling that, by the time the saint finished, both men had tears in their eyes. That story became the heart of the novel.
