Alice

At a school fair, Charlotte is supposed to be keeping an eye on the children. She swears she looked away for only a second. But when she counts heads, her own three kids are safe and Alice, the daughter of her best friend Harriet, is nowhere to be found. Charlotte searches in a panic, then has to find the nerve to tell Harriet that her only child is missing, knowing the blame is hers.

Harriet is devastated and cannot bring herself to speak to Charlotte or trust her. Isolated, with her marriage under strain, she believes no one. As the police press both women to piece together what happened to the little girl, dark secrets begin to surface, and Harriet may discover that turning to Charlotte again is the only way to get her daughter back.
