Half-Witch Mariah ran away from her foster family to find a better life.  Arriving in Valerian's Cove in search of her friend Shari-Beth, Mariah finds more than she bargained for in magic, friends, and family.  As Mariah finds her place, the Goddess continues to gather her heroes in Valerian's Cove, and a new adversary is revealed, one that it will take the combined forces of the Casey Clan and all their friends, new and old, to overcome.
