Andromeda's Ghost

Five decades have passed since the first settlers reached Jurthaan IV, and now the colony's relationship with the neighboring world of Palnach has grown strained. To secure a fragile peace, Princess Kylee Wen Dao is to wed Palnach's Prince Maju. Taren Platinum, once the finest member of her security detail, has been cast out of the guard, yet he has never stopped loving her. He storms the royal wedding, pulls the princess out of danger, and flees the planet aboard a stolen ship with her at his side.

Soldiers from both worlds now hunt the pair. Their damaged craft comes down on Cartiss, a planet that is slowly dying, where they are exposed and far from safety. To get back into the air, Taren needs to fix the ship, and he can rely on only a handful of people from Hurren, a city with no lawful government. Criminal gangs control the streets and keep the city's resources to themselves.

Taren wants nothing more than to leave Cartiss and disappear somewhere secure. Kylee, however, believes he is capable of changing the course of Hurren. Taren has no wish to be noticed, but he will not stand by while people who threaten innocent lives go unchecked, even when his own survival is at stake.
