Angelfire

Ellie's nights are crowded with dreams she cannot shake, in which monstrous creatures track her down and kill her. Then she meets Will, and she feels as though she is on the edge of remembering something that stays just out of reach. His focus on her is both intense and tender, and Ellie has the strange certainty that her soul has known him for centuries.

Their first real encounter happens on a deserted street at midnight, and there Will draws out a power inside her. For the first time, Ellie believes she has a chance against the creatures that have been stalking her. Will also seems to hold the key to a vast store of memories from the many lives she has lived, and the idea that her visions are only dreams no longer holds up.

Ellie's duty is to hunt down and destroy the reapers that feed on human souls. To survive, she must also uncover the secrets of her past lives, the ancient and perilous war between the angels and the Fallen, and other truths she may have good reason to keep buried.
