ANGRY RIVER

Sita lives with her grandparents on a small island in the middle of a wide river. There is just enough room for the three of them, along with three goats, some hens, a vegetable patch and a peepul tree. It is a modest, close-knit life, and the river is part of it.

Then the river floods and carries away everything on the island, Sita included. Swept off by the angry water, she has to find a way to stay alive.

This Ruskin Bond story is a classic tale of courage and friendship, now reissued with a fresh look.
