Anthony's Pride

Galanos has vanished, and Princess Thessallya has fallen ill with a condition no one can explain. Anthony and the Royal Free Guardians bring her to the ranch of Kyros, a retired warrior, so she can recuperate in peace. Soon after they arrive, the Guardians learn that people and livestock across the area have disappeared. Thessallya is struck by sudden, agonizing pain, so the search falls to her companions. Their investigation uncovers a remarkable creature and a dangerous scheme to topple her father's realm, and the group must act quickly.

Anthony's loyalty to his closest friend drives much of the story as he works to save Galanos. Beneath the adventure lies the question of whether Thessallya can recover in time to lead the Guardians against the threat, and whether the others can protect the people without their dragon. The heartstones, which link the warrior princess to her dragon, play a central role in the battle to defend the Free Lands.

The book follows Guardian Preator and her varied band of heroes through some of the hardest trials they have faced. Tiffany Nevills also created the cover and illustrations.
