Artists is a board book that introduces babies and toddlers to some of the world's best-loved artists. It collects some of the most striking artists from the Little People, BIG DREAMS series: Andy Warhol, Vivienne Westwood, Frida Kahlo, Coco Chanel, Louise Bourgeois, Pablo Picasso, David Bowie and Jean-Michel Basquiat. It is meant as a first primer in art history for the very young. Each spread shows one of these figures as a child, alongside their earliest works, in pictures that can encourage even the smallest children to create and express themselves. Colorful illustrations are paired with short, age-appropriate text that is fun to read aloud while snuggled up together. Little People, BIG DREAMS is a biography series for children about remarkable people, from designers and artists to scientists and activists. Each of them accomplished extraordinary things, and each began life as a child with a dream. The board books use simple sentences suited to reading aloud to babies and toddlers. The hardback and paperback editions tell expanded stories for beginning readers, and the treasuries bring many dreamers together in one volume, with rewritten text for older children.
