About this book
In Paris in 1928, a boy is found close to death and taken into a warm, loving household. He thrives there and is given a glimpse of a future he never imagined, yet he will not reveal where he came from or who he really is. As he grows up, falls in love and studies at the Conservatoire de Paris, his past and the promise he has made can seem distant. But across Europe a darkness is spreading, and he senses that he may soon have to run again.
In 2008, the seven sisters come together for the first time aboard the Titan to say goodbye to their father, a man they cherished but knew surprisingly little. Pa Salt has chosen their missing sister to hold the clue to their family's past. Every truth that surfaces raises a new question, forcing the sisters to accept that the man they idolised was largely a mystery to them, and that secrets buried for decades may still affect their lives today.
Moving between continents and generations, the story follows its characters through love, loss and difficult decisions. It is the final book in the Seven Sisters series and was written by Lucinda Riley and Harry Whittaker, who completed the novel after Riley's death.
