Authentic Influencer

Many believers see themselves as ordinary, yet the author maintains that God regularly works through unremarkable people to carry out remarkable plans. This book invites readers to follow the example of Barnabas, learn from God, and help move the world toward Jesus Christ, one person at a time. God chooses to reach the world through His people, and people influence other people. Even so, many Christians watch from the edges, unsure how to get involved. Murphy builds his approach on the account of Barnabas in Scripture instead of borrowing ideas from secular business leadership books. The message is that every follower of Jesus can be encouraged, taught, and motivated to make an impact wherever they stand. Murphy stresses that everyday believers, not only pastors, church leaders, and writers, have been given a specific charge by Jesus to bring godly influence into the world. Whether a believer changes one life or a thousand, each one serves as an agent of change. Presented as a Christian leadership book, the work examines how Barnabas influenced the world for Christ through practical, achievable steps. It encourages readers to begin with the people closest to them.
