Bad Graces
About This Book
Liv Whitlock has spent years bouncing between foster homes, often because of her own self-destructive habits, and she is desperate to change the course of her life. Her solution is to steal the identity of her perfect sister. Under that name she wins a prestigious internship on a movie set filming in Alaska, where she finds herself aboard a luxury yacht with a group of famous young women: pop star Paris Grace, actress sisters Effie and Miri Knight, Olympic gymnast Rosalind Torres and social media influencer Celia Jones. Liv knows she doesn't belong, but she tries to find common ground with her glamorous companions. Just as the group begins to bond, a violent storm wrecks the yacht off the coast of North America and leaves them stranded on an island in the North Pacific Ocean. Starvation and exposure are the first dangers. Then they realize that something is stalking them from the forest, a predator unlike anything they have seen. The island has another hold on them as well. Every injury any of them suffers causes inexplicable changes in her body, and the creature in the woods starts to feel uncomfortably familiar. With little hope of rescue and only one another to cling to, the girls must find out whether they can survive the island's ominous forces or will lose themselves to their darker natures. Bad Graces is a young adult thriller with a touch of the magical, written by Kyrie McCauley.
