Bad Thoughts #1

Jack Coates can see inside your head. Every cruel thought and every shameful act you have ever committed is open to him, and the experience hurts him each time. He has turned the gift into a living, running a private security firm that handles ugly situations and the dangerous people tangled up in them.

He works with a team he trusts, and he thinks of himself as a good soldier among them. That trust is about to be tested. Jack is on the verge of learning what it costs to rely on the wrong people, and what a man who sees the worst in everyone does when the betrayal comes from close by.

This first issue comes from writer Ande Parks, co-creator of Extraction, and artist Dave Wachter, known for his work on Godzilla. Together they introduce an unsettling kind of hero, one whose power is as much a burden as a weapon.
