Be You!

Be You! is a picture book from Peter H. Reynolds, the creator of The Dot, Happy Dreamer, and The Word Collector. It is a cheerful reminder that every child is one of a kind. The text encourages young readers to be curious, adventurous, and brave, and to be patient, persistent, and true to themselves.

Reynolds urges children to treat themselves as their own work of art, because there is only one of each of them. The book is meant as an uplifting celebration of individuality, in the vein of other encouraging gift books such as Oh, the Places You'll Go! and I Wish You More. It is published by Scholastic.
