Bear's Bicycle

Bear, Porcupine, Doe and Squirrel are all excited about the upcoming festival on wheels, and each of them is getting ready to ride. Bear is the exception when it comes to confidence. He has read every book about bicycles he can find, yet he still can't manage to ride one.

While Bear heads to the library in search of one more book, his friends show him that people learn in different ways. By practicing side by side, they all begin to get the hang of riding.

This story is a follow-up to Porcupine's Pie and brings back the same woodland friends. It is a gentle tale of practice, perseverance and friendship. A closing spread gathers tips from one of Bear's books, covering bike safety, caring for a bike and fun ways to decorate it.
