Better by Far
About This Book
Kate and Finn have broken up, but their lease still has twelve weeks left. Rather than leave early, they agree to keep sharing the house, taking turns week by week so that they live in the same place without ever being in it together. On paper the arrangement is sensible. In practice, each Sunday Kate returns to rooms that Finn has only just left, and it feels like moving in with a ghost. As the weeks pass, she drifts deeper into her own subconscious, caught in the liminal space between loving someone and letting go. The novel mixes genres as it follows love and loss, hope and heartbreak. It focuses on the healing that can happen in transitional periods, when you are no longer the person you were and have not yet become the person you will be.
