Biblical Worldview
About This Book
Biblical Worldview Student Edition is a BJU Press text that trains students in Bible study skills and worldview analysis. It also teaches them to explain and defend Christian beliefs. Students learn how worldviews shape the way people think and live, and they examine gender, marriage and the family, government, and the arts from a biblical perspective. They practice stating their Christian beliefs clearly, defending biblical doctrines, refuting false teachings and philosophies, and taking part in discipleship with fellow students. They also apply a biblical worldview to their own lives, propose biblical ways to contribute to culture, and defend the claims of that worldview. The book includes case studies on real-life conflicts and problems people face today, and apologetics activities in which students defend their beliefs to someone who rejects the Bible. Essential and guiding questions keep reading focused on the key ideas, while Socratic questioning helps students find gaps in their knowledge and fill them. Research activities teach effective use of online sources, a portfolio project asks students to show how they plan to use their worldview beliefs personally, and section and chapter reviews deepen understanding.
