Black Slide

Griffin Birch does not consider himself a brave kid, yet a gleaming new slide on his elementary school playground has caught his attention. Despite his doubts, he follows his closest friend, Laila, down it.

The slide is a passage to somewhere else entirely. At the bottom, the two find a hostile realm where monstrous beings are scheming to achieve eternal life. The job of getting everyone home safely falls to Griffin, who must protect himself, Laila, and the future of the planet.

Written as a middle-grade horror story, the book pairs an eerie atmosphere with a fast-paced adventure and many unexpected turns. Readers who enjoy R.L. Stine and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, or classic horror in general, are its intended audience.
