Bleeding Heart

Taj keeps his love life casual, moving from one partner to the next. None of it changes what happened long ago, but the distraction makes the days pass more easily. That changes when his sister Leela's boyfriend arrives frantic, reporting that Leela has disappeared while a Djinn killer roams free. Taj throws himself into tracking down both his sister and the killer.

The search brings him into contact with Brolach, a Djinni still adjusting to life in a human body. Taj feels a spark between them and starts to wonder whether dating someone of his own kind is worth the risk. His last relationship with a Djinni ended badly, and almost two hundred years have passed since he lost Cal.

Soon Taj and the people he cares about are caught in danger, and everyone is looking to him for direction. He never wanted to be the one leading, yet that is exactly where he finds himself. The question is whether he can face the troubles of his past, protect the people he loves, and claim a romantic ending of his own.
