Blitz Detective

On a bright Saturday in September 1940, London's streets seem almost untouched by war, until air-raid sirens announce the first German attack of the Blitz. Ordinary life stops overnight, but criminals keep working. That same night, a body turns up inside an unmarked van on a quiet back street in West Ham.

Detective Inspector John Jago is summoned to the scene and recognises the dead man as Charles Villiers, a local Justice of the Peace. The circumstances point to murder, but a German bomb destroys the evidence before it can be fully examined. With the war raging around him, Jago must still follow the facts and uncover what really happened.
