Blizzard Bride

In January 1888, Abigail Bracey travels to Nebraska to take a teaching post. She also has a second, secret purpose: to pick out a pupil who is the hidden son of a murderous counterfeiter, the same man responsible for her father's death. Dashiell Lassiter, a government agent and her childhood sweetheart, would rather she stay out of this dangerous assignment. Once he learns that the counterfeiter is hunting for the boy as well and will eliminate anyone who stands in his way, Dash follows Abby west to guard her, though she has made it clear she does not want him near her.

Abby still resents that Dash did not fight for their marriage six years earlier, and he has never told her the true reason he walked away. Dash's only goal is to keep her safe, but when a brutal blizzard closes in around them, the two must decide whether to put their old hurts aside and cooperate to catch the counterfeiter and shield his son, assuming they can survive the storm.

The Blizzard Bride is part of the Daughters of the Mayflower series, a set of standalone historical romances by different authors, each focused on a bride in a different era and place in American history.
