Blood Mate

August Corinth has lived for six centuries as a vampire bound by a curse. Each night he must feed, and with every kill he suffers his victims' pain. Only one woman can resist his thrall, and she is the only one who can free him. Known as his blood mate, she offers the salvation he has been waiting for, but reaching her means more than he is willing to give up.

The story is told as a dark fairy tale, pairing a bleak, cursed existence with the pull of a single destined bond.
