Blowout

FBI agents Lacey Sherlock and Dillon Savich are only a few days into a weekend getaway in the Poconos when the call comes. A Supreme Court justice has been brutally murdered, and the pair are flown by helicopter back to Washington to take charge of the investigation.

The case has a personal edge for one person close to the victim. Callie Markham, an investigative reporter at The Washington Post, is the justice's stepdaughter. Savich agrees to let her work alongside Ben Raven, the Metro Police liaison assigned to the case, because her closeness to the family may open doors that a badge cannot.

Raven wants no part of the arrangement and makes no secret of his dislike for having a civilian in the middle of a murder inquiry. Even so, Callie stays in the thick of it, working next to him as they hunt for whoever killed her stepfather.
