Blue Moon

Jack Reacher has no destination and no schedule, just a seat on a Greyhound bus and plenty of time. That changes when he gets off to help an elderly man who looks like an easy target for someone. It is the kind of good deed that rarely goes unpunished, and Reacher soon feels responsible for fixing what follows.

The old man and his wife have made a few well-meaning mistakes, and those mistakes have left them owing a large sum to dangerous people. Reacher answers with one bold move, then another, and before long he is a wanted man caught in the middle of a violent turf war between rival Ukrainian and Albanian gangs.

Staying ahead of loan sharks, enforcers and hired killers is only part of the job. Reacher finds an ally in a waitress who is tired of the whole situation and knows more than she admits. Together they set out to bring down the people holding the power and make the greedy pay for it.
