Boy Called Dustbin

Ashwin Subramaniam did not ask to move house. When his family is forced to relocate, the self-declared drama queen of a teenager has to start over in a new place, and he is not shy about letting everyone know how he feels.

The story follows Ashwin through a single year in the 1990s, set in Kalpavriksha Colony. There he makes new friends, stumbles into one comical mishap after another, and finds himself caught up in some unexpected adventures. Complicating matters is his cousin Chuppu, a thoroughly annoying presence who is never far away.

The tone is light and funny, but underneath the chaos Ashwin is learning what friendship and family really mean. It is a nostalgic read for anyone who wants to head back to their own childhood for a while.
