Brainwyrms

A bombing carried out by a TERF tears through the place where Frankie works, and the damage spreads into her private life. As reporters swarm the aftermath, Frankie copes by drinking heavily, sleeping with strangers, and keeping her friends at a distance.

Then she meets Vanya, a figure who is alluring, unsettling and frightening in equal measure. The two connect at once, but as their bond deepens, Frankie becomes more convinced that Vanya is concealing something. When those hidden truths threaten to end the relationship, Frankie begins investigating on her own and uncovers a twisted, depraved plot whose roots reach far deeper than she could have imagined.

Brainwyrms is an unflinching, grisly and crude novel that looks at the frightening reality of political violence while exploring love, suffering and identity.
