Bucket List

Dot is a pensioner who spends her days on her own. Max is a young offender serving his community service. They meet by chance in their local park, and the encounter changes things for both of them. It turns out they share a wicked sense of humour and a taste for petty crime.

When Dot wins the lottery, Max helps her draw up a bucket list of everything she has always wanted to do but never had the chance to. In return, Dot helps him turn his life around and see what he is capable of. Their list runs from race cars and fun fairs to zombie films and random acts of kindness, and the two find they have never been happier.

Dot is astonished to discover that what she does sends ripples through the wider community. The story suggests that it is people working together, rather than money, that makes a real difference.
