Bumblebee Cottage

After one setback too many at the tabloid newspaper where she worked, Jinny Birdwhistle walks away from her London reporting job. A lucky, unusual hunt for work leads her to a new home, a car, and a living making honey and chutney in Heartcross, a small village in Scotland.

Jinny's teacher in the trade is Gabe Warner, a beekeeper who is easy on the eye but more private than he first seems. Jinny hopes to settle into rural life and set her old life aside, though her reporter's habits don't disappear as easily as her London address. Her curiosity soon pulls her into digging.

What she uncovers is a mystery tied to her own past, and she begins to see that the past cannot be escaped and must be faced. She is part of the Love Heart Lane series, and in Heartcross she is not without people to lean on.
