Burke's Rules

Burke Youngblood takes Jayne Stoneworthy for a woman looking for a good time, and he expects her to obey his every word. He soon discovers that she has a stubborn streak as wide as the Rocky Mountains and no intention of backing down.

Burke has always claimed that marriage is a set of chains that chafe. That belief is tested when he meets Jayne, a spirited, independent schoolteacher known as the "Headmistress of Morals" who has also become the most unlikely owner of a brothel. Burke starts to think that if he doesn't make an honest woman of her, nobody will.
