Burning Wild

Jake Bannacotti is a billionaire with a secret: he comes from the Leopard people, and his parents bred him for his ability to shift into a big cat. Raised without warmth by those parents, he has long lived in a kind of emotional isolation. A tragic turn of events leaves him raising his infant son on his own, and that isolation only deepens.

Then he meets Emma Reynolds, a mysterious young woman he cannot put out of his mind. Something about her pulls at him in a way he has never experienced, and he decides the surest way to keep her near is to hire her as his son's nanny. It also lets him keep an eye on her, because he suspects she may not be who she claims to be.

Emma is the first human to awaken real feeling in Jake, and the attraction between them is driven by instinct rather than reason. As the secrets around her and the wild nature inside him both press closer, the two are drawn into a relationship that burns hotter than either expected. Burning Wild is a paranormal romance from Christine Feehan's Leopard People series.
