Calamity Jack

Calamity Jack retells the tale of Jack and the beanstalk as a graphic novel. Jack is a born schemer, always working an angle. He climbs a magical beanstalk with two aims: to get justice from a mean giant, and to win a fortune for his widowed mother. He has help from some friends along the way.

The book is a follow-up to Rapunzel's Revenge, which Shannon Hale wrote with Dean Hale and which Nathan Hale illustrated. Calamity Jack is a companion to it, set in the same fantasy world with a Wild West flavor, and Jack's story begins in the city of Shyport.
