Candy Darling

These personal diaries are written by Candy Darling, a drag performer who was active in the Warhol era and has since died. Her entries record her own voice and daily life, giving readers a first-person view of her experiences.

The book is a single volume of diary material rather than a narrative biography, so its shape follows the author's own writing. It will appeal to readers interested in LGBTQ+ life, the downtown arts scene of the period, and first-person memoir.
