Carnivalesque

Andy steps into Burleigh's Amazing Hall of Mirrors and keeps walking, straight into one of the mirrors, where he becomes a reflection. Meanwhile a different boy, who is not Andy at all, goes home with Andy's parents and takes his place.

The boy who used to be Andy is hauled out of the glass, quite literally, by the hands of a girl named Mona. She draws him into another world, a carnival realm where anything might happen.

Carnivalesque is a novel by Neil Jordan, the Irish writer who is also a film director, known for films such as The Crying Game and Interview with the Vampire.
