Castaway Resolution

This installment carries on the castaway saga begun in earlier books such as Boundary. The Kimei family and a separate group of castaways under Sergeant Campbell have finally united on Lincoln, a strange world whose landmasses are in fact vast drifting coral formations, populated by creatures stranger still.

Since arriving, the survivors have endured crash landings, toxic bites, illness, and the loss of one of their floating island homes, which was destroyed and consumed. Through all of it they have adapted and even grown prosperous on this unfamiliar world.

Far off among the stars, Lieutenant Susan Fisher is working to uncover what became of the starship Outward Initiative. She has begun to suspect that some of its people may have escaped to a hidden, previously unknown star system. Her plans and the castaways' ingenuity may not be enough, because Lincoln still has more in store for them.
