Charmed List

Ellie Kobata has spent most of high school keeping to herself, and she intends to change that before senior year. Her plan for a daring summer is an Anti-Wallflower List of thirteen goals. Among them are riding every rollercoaster she can find, possibly making her art Instagram account public, and taking a long road trip with Lia, her closest friend.

Ellie's fourth goal, getting back at Jack Yasuda, backfires badly, and she starts to feel her summer has turned against her. Lia is no longer in the car. Instead, Ellie is riding with Jack, who is driving her to a magical convention. As they head down the California coast, the thirteenth item on her list, falling in love, may already be underway without her noticing.

The story unfolds in a hidden magical world filled with cupcakes and teas that carry a little spark of happiness, along with an enchanted cottage where guests can dance beneath the stars.
