Checking Out Crime

Minnie drives a bookmobile around the county near Chilson, Michigan, with her rescue cat Eddie, bringing books to grateful readers. The pair have a habit of stopping whenever there is trouble.

One day Minnie sees a car speeding away down the road, and shortly afterward she comes across a dead bicyclist. She assumes she just missed witnessing a hit-and-run and sets out to learn who was behind the wheel. The case soon proves far more complicated than it first looked, and there is more going on than meets the eye. Fortunately, the librarian is ready to track down the killer.
