Chimes

The book opens with a letter from Sasha Madsen to her reader. In it, she expresses the belief that the world we share is a lovely place, even though life brings countless trials and setbacks. She acknowledges that we need not face them in silence. She offers her own accounts and private confidences, asking only that readers hold them close. The letter is signed off with the phrase flickers and chimes, followed by the name Sash.
