Cinnabar Sky

A Border Patrol agent named Hunter Kincaid comes across a tiny bone, the tip of a young boy's little finger, lying beside a car trunk packed with decaying corpses. That grim find sets off a string of killings tied to a fortune worth untold millions, a bigoted rancher, and a boy missing part of a finger. Hunter tracks down the boy, Adan, in Mexico and earns his trust, but the two soon realize that dangerous men are pursuing them. Their hunters are led by Ellis, a cold-blooded killer determined to silence Adan before anyone learns what he knows. Hunter guides the boy through gunfire and ambushes as they race toward the Texas border, with the pursuers closing in. Ellis believes he can kill them both before Adan speaks, but he has not reckoned with Hunter and a few of her friends, who refuse to let that happen.
