About this book
Edited by Anthony F. Buono of Bentley University, this tenth title in the Research in Management Consulting series grew out of papers presented at a 2007 conference of the Academy of Management's Management Consulting Division. The conference was held in Copenhagen, Denmark, in June, and its theme was the relationship between consultants and the organizations they serve, viewed through the challenges of complexity and change.
The twelve chapters look at a wide range of questions, showing how many-sided the consultant-client relationship can be. Together they combine research on consulting with empirical studies of how consulting actually unfolds in practice.
The volume will suit researchers and students of management consulting, as well as consultants and client managers who want to understand the forces shaping their working relationships.
