Convincing Derrick

Derrick Nicholson, a former Army operator, has built a new life around rescuing horses that have been abused. Fifteen years ago he began living the future his older brother never reached, but a fatal accident left him fixated on precision. He double-checks everything, determined that his carelessness will never cost anyone again. Kiki Payne, who shares his house and works alongside him, keeps pulling his attention away from his routines.

Kiki grew up surrounded by wealth, privilege and an easy social calendar. That world cracks open when she learns her parents plan to take a child from her mother. From then on, Kiki works to put distance between herself and a family she no longer trusts. At Stryker Security, her housemates and colleagues live by strict standards of honor and honesty, and she worries that her family's corruption will always stain her. The loyalty she finds among the team gives her a reason to hope for a different future.

When mistaken identity leads to Derrick, Kiki and her niece being abducted, they must face obstacles that seem impossible to overcome in order to escape. This is the first novel in the Stryker Security series, a romance with suspense and inspirational themes.
