Crazy Paving

Dora Cummings is unmarried, spirited and fiercely independent, and she has mapped out her retirement with great care. She keeps to herself and stays largely apart from the everyday goings-on of a small village on the South Wales coast.

Her days belong to painting and writing, the two pursuits she loves most, and in them she finds real contentment.

Then one act of generosity upsets all of it. A teenage runaway arrives in Dora's orderly life, and the girl becomes so tangled up with her that both women risk being undone.

The novel is rooted in the coastline of South Wales and in the conviction that growing older does not dictate how a person lives.
