Curious Vera

Vera is an ordinary young girl with an unusually strong curiosity. Her journey takes her to meet some of today's leading scientists, and along the way she sets out to learn what life is and what other secrets the universe holds.

The book is written for children who want to explore the universe and draws on author Goda Raibytė's own personal experiences. Raibytė, who calls herself the "Space Commander-in-Chief," hopes the story will spark curiosity in young readers and in the adults reading alongside them, encouraging everyone to explore science and space more deeply.

Each scientist Vera meets has devoted a career to studying the cosmos. Their scientific and philosophical views on exploring the universe, searching for life among the stars, and the most pressing questions researchers hope to answer in the near future are all part of the book.
