Cursed Demon

Emma Case has settled into an odd existence as a demon's pet, uneasy but getting by in a household full of monsters. That changes when the gentle-hearted young woman hears a pup crying out and cannot ignore it, even though the ground she steps onto is strictly off limits. The creature turns out to be a wolf-shifter. Its pack blames Emma for the crime, seizes her, and takes her away to be questioned.

Under interrogation she is tormented for answers she simply does not have, and her only hope is to convince her good-looking captor that she is telling the truth. As the inexperienced woman is pulled deeper into a hidden realm of scheming and secrets, strange powers begin to surface within her, powers she has no way of controlling. The story asks whether the heritage she has been hiding will prove a gift or a curse.

Cursed Demon is the second standalone novel in the Creatures of the Otherworld urban fantasy series, with its focus firmly on the characters. Readers who enjoy spirited heroines, witty humour, and fast, high-tension action should find plenty to like.
