Cut, Shape, Assemble

Cut, Shape, Assemble is a guide to making your own home goods from wood, with step-by-step projects for every skill level. The projects range from bookends and breakfast trays to birdhouses, a knife block, a plant stand and even a table. Cutting boards and serving platters are included too, and they work equally well in your own home or as gifts for friends and family.

The author, award-winning artist Boo Paterson, covers the tools and materials you will need and gives clear instructions throughout. Full-color photography and one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn blueprints accompany each project. The projects are designed so that they can be pulled together on the floor of a small apartment, and the designs are stylish and modern.

The book is meant for woodworking enthusiasts, hobbyist crafters and complete newcomers alike. Its encouraging approach aims to build confidence and creativity as readers make something of their own out of wood.
