Danger's Vice

Holly is once again wandering the rough edges of the city, hunting for the pico that has eluded her. Her top priority is working out what the quantum drive holds, the same device a zealot was ready to die protecting. She has managed to forgive the young boy involved, but her prickly partner from the outskirts is harder to win over.

Holly soon learns that Tandor's gang survived the earlier fight and wants payback. The gang is signing up Northerners, and Holly has found one who is willing to talk. Odd events are piling up as well. She comes across an old man wrapped in a burial shroud, and she sees a seeker roaming streets where it has no business being. When a friend is pulled into the violence, Holly has to move fast to get the answers she needs.

What she uncovers is alarming. The outskirts are spreading past their borders and infecting residents with Plush, and the quantum drive may be the one thing that can stop it. Time is running out, and it may already be too late.
