Dark Tarot

Sandu Bernardi is an ancient Carpathian who has spent his long life serving his people and holding to his sense of honor. He believes his era is over. He has never found his lifemate, the one person who could anchor him and keep him sane in a world he no longer understands, and he is close to giving up hope of ever finding her.

Then a voice reaches him in the night. Adalasia slips into his mind as though she had always belonged there, and for the first time in centuries his world is full of color.

Adalasia reads the future in a deck of cards, a gift that is as much a burden as a blessing. The cards show her shapes of what may come, but not everything, and the course of Sandu's quest stays murky, with danger at every turn. The one thing she is sure of is that they will travel it together.

Choosing to stand beside him sets both of them on a perilous, sensual path with no turning back. Dark Tarot is part of Christine Feehan's Carpathian series, which follows a long-lived, supernatural people and the lifemates who bind them.
